The main challenge was creating a system flexible enough to adapt to different types of tax and accounting obligations, each with its own deadlines, requirements, and processes. We developed a customizable rules engine that allows defining different types of obligations, with their respective deadlines and documentation requirements. Another important challenge was managing notifications and reminders, as tax deadlines are critical. We implemented a multi-level alert system that notifies both the internal team and optionally clients with sufficient advance notice.
